About iTaageer

iTaageer is built for selected Somali campaigns with real impact.

iTaageer is owned and operated by Bixi. During phase one, the team publishes only reviewed Creative, NGO, and Government campaigns so donors can support verified causes with confidence.

Phase one

Controlled launch, clear donor experience.

We review selected campaigns

The iTaageer team reviews the campaign purpose, category, supporting details, target amount, and impact plan before anything is published.

Campaigns go live after approval

Only approved campaigns appear publicly during phase one. Public campaign creation stays closed until phase-two verification workflows are ready.

Donors contribute securely

Supporters choose a verified cause and approve a direct Bixi mobile money debit request in USD.

Updates show the impact

Admins publish updates and reports so donors can see progress, milestones, and how selected campaigns are moving forward.

How we operate

Serious fundraising needs careful review.

The iTaageer MVP is not an open campaign marketplace. Public users cannot create campaigns during phase one. The iTaageer team manually creates, reviews, approves, and manages campaign content before donors see it.

Campaign pages show the story, goal, progress, donor count, updates, and public donor messages when paid donors choose to show a message. Donor phone and email details are kept private for admin operations.

Phase two can open public campaign applications slowly. Before that happens, campaign owners should pass identity checks, document review, campaign verification, compliance review, and payment risk controls before publishing.

Campaign categories

Three campaign areas, reviewed before launch.

Phase one is intentionally focused. iTaageer supports only these categories while public campaign creation remains closed.

Creative campaigns

Creative campaigns

Creative campaigns support entrepreneurs, artists, filmmakers, writers, designers, and other creatives bringing meaningful work to life.

  • A short film about Somali culture raising production funds.
  • An entrepreneur crowdfunding a farming or fishing project.
  • A designer seeking support for a new creation or collection.
NGO campaigns

NGO campaigns

NGO campaigns raise support for registered charitable and social-impact initiatives with a clear purpose and reviewed documentation.

  • Humanitarian aid for drought, flood, food, or shelter response.
  • Education projects such as school construction or student support.
  • Healthcare initiatives for under-served communities.
Government campaigns

Government campaigns

Government campaigns are limited, carefully selected public initiatives focused on infrastructure, public services, or social welfare.

  • Municipal improvements to public parks and community spaces.
  • Regional infrastructure projects such as roads, schools, or hospitals.
  • Public health initiatives such as vaccination access in remote areas.

Eligibility and verification

Campaign owners or partner organizations must be verified before a campaign can be published. Phase-one campaign creation remains admin-controlled.

AML and payment risk controls

High-value or unusual activity may require extra review, and payment credentials stay server-side.

NGO and public initiative review

NGO, government, and public-interest campaigns may require registration documents, purpose verification, and added scrutiny.

Transparent reporting

Campaign updates and reports should show donors how funds are allocated and what impact their support is producing.
